Guided Woodland Walk.

Join founding naturalist Laura Chávez Silverman for an exploration of the early spring landscape to observe the ephemeral plants of the season. Sightings will include ramps, blue cohosh, trout lilies, spring beauties, Dutchman’s breeches and hepatica. Soak up the phytoncides (beneficial compounds emitted by plants) and learn to identify wild edibles. A light trail snack is included.

Location: Crystal Lake, Roscoe, NY. (Rain or shine.) Details will be emailed directly to participants.

Of note: Terrain may be muddy so choose your footwear wisely. Check forecast and wear rain gear if necessary. Sunscreen, insect repellent and water bottle recommended.
